Job summary

RHB Banking Group is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive (SME Financing) to drive business growth by promoting and selling SME financing solutions to SMEs in the Penang region. You will be the key liaison between RHB Banking Group and SME clients, identifying opportunities and achieving sales targets.

With 2–3 years' sales experience in banking or financial services, you will build strong client relationships, present products, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure onboarding and service

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in sales, preferably in banking, financial services, or corporate lending.
• Strong understanding of SME financing products, business lending, or commercial banking solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clients.
• Proven ability to identify client needs and provide tailored financial solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within SME sector in Northern Region.
• Present and promote SME financing products to prospective clients.
• Conduct product demonstrations and deliver sales pitches to potential customers.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with SME clients and business contacts.
• Prepare detailed sales proposals and quotations tailored to clients' financing needs.
• Negotiate terms to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
• Collaborate with credit, operations, and product teams for smooth onboarding and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
• Attend industry events, networking sessions, and trade shows to generate leads.

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Executive (SME Financing) to join our dynamic sales team in Penang on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to drive business growth by promoting and selling SME financing solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises throughout the Penang region. As a Sales Executive, you will be the key liaison between RHB Banking Group and our SME clients, responsible for identifying business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role is strategically important to our growth objectives, as SME financing remains a core pillar of our business development strategy in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the SME sector in Northern Region
• Present and promote RHB's SME financing products and solutions to prospective clients
• Conduct product demonstrations and deliver compelling sales pitches to potential customers
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with SME clients and key business contacts
• Prepare detailed sales proposals and quotations tailored to clients\' financing needs
• Negotiate terms and conditions to achieve mutually beneficial agreements
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
• Collaborate with internal departments including credit, operations, and product teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and sales activities
• Attend industry events, networking sessions, and trade shows to expand business networks and generate leads

What we\'re looking for

• Minimum of 2-3 years\' experience in sales, preferably in banking, financial services, or corporate lending
• Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
• Strong understanding of SME financing products, business lending, or commercial banking solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clients
• Proven ability to identify client needs and provide tailored financial solutions
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Valid driving licence and own transportation preferred
• Knowledge of Malaysian banking regulations and SME financing market is advantageous
