Job summary

Austin Leisure Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sales & Marketing Executive to drive business for the hotel and strengthen client relationships in Johor Bahru. You will analyse market trends, prepare pitches, negotiate room rates, and coordinate with hotel teams to ensure outstanding guest experiences.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma or degree, can travel to the Johor area, and are proficient in MS Office. Weekend work and own transport are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in a related field.
• Own transport required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Basic sales knowledge and customer relations.
• Willing to work weekends/public holidays when needed.
• Based in Johor area.

Responsibilities

• Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to generate new business.

Job description

The Sales & Marketing Executive reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager. He/she analyses local market trends and competitor activity to generate new business for the hotel and maintain existing business relationships.

Key responsibilities

Perform all sales duties which include prospecting, sales presentation, sales closing, follow through sales administration and after sales service

Assist in preparing sales presentations and proposals for clients

Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide support

Work closely with the sales team to align on strategies and goals

Initiate, undertake and participate in company events

Develop customer accounts to drive business into the specific hotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams

Negotiate room rates/packages with clients

Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions

Work within current business strategies and recognising potential opportunities

Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs

About you

Diploma or Degree in professional certificate or equivalent certificate

Must possess own transport

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint)

Basic understanding of sales processes and customer relations

Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team

Able to work during weekend and public holiday when necessary

Able to work in Johor area
