Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a proactive sales-focused professional to drive business development in the construction products sector across Central and Southern Malaysia. You will engage developers, contractors, and subcontractors, expanding accounts and securing project opportunities.

The role requires building strong networks with architects and C&S consultants, preparing quotations and tenders, and coordinating with engineers and project owners to gain specifications and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or Architecture.
• 3-5 years of sales or business development experience in the construction products industry.
• Well-established network with architects and C&S consulting firms.
• Willingness to travel across Central and Southern Malaysia.

Responsibilities

Job description

Drive sales and business development activities for steel stiffeners, targeting developers, contractors, and subcontractors.

Develop new accounts and expand business opportunities, particularly across Johor.

Work closely with engineering consultants and project owners to secure product specifications and project approvals.

Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations, tenders, and sales proposals.

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Conduct regular customer visits to understand project needs and provide technical and commercial assistance.

Handle customer concerns and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.

Monitor market developments, competitor activities, pricing, and construction trends.

Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review.

Update and manage project opportunities through CRM and other sales tracking tools.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or Architecture.

3-5 years of sales or business development experience in the construction products industry.

Well-established network with architects and C&S consulting firms.

Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable with frequent travel across Central and Southern Malaysia.
