Job summary

VEGA PRECISION TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead new product development from customer enquiry through to mass production. You will translate drawings and requirements into feasible plans, coordinating with Tooling, Production, Quality and Purchasing to ensure smooth execution and timely samples.

You will liaise with customers during sample testing and approval, and support transition from samples to production, with documentation and reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in product development coordination and project management.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Strong coordination with cross-functional teams (Tooling, Production, Quality, Purchasing).
• Willing to visit customers for technical discussions and business development.

Responsibilities

• Handle new product development projects from enquiry to mass production.

• Coordinate with customers on new product requirements, feasibility, quotations and project schedules.
• Work with Tooling Design, Production, Quality, Purchasing to ensure smooth execution.
• Coordinate stamping dies/tooling, samples and trial production.
• Monitor progress and ensure samples meet timelines.
• Liaise with customers during sample submission, testing and approval.
• Follow up on technical issues and customer feedback until approval.
• Coordinate transition from approved samples to mass production.
• Prepare project reports, quotations and customer documentation.
• Visit customers for technical discussions and business development.

• - Work closely with Tooling Design, Production, Quality Control, Purchasing and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• - Coordinate the development of stamping dies/tooling, samples and trial production.
• - Monitor project progress and ensure samples are completed according to customer requirements and agreed timelines.
• - Liaise with customers during the sample submission, testing and approval process.
• - Follow up and resolve technical issues, quality problems and customer feedback until customer sample approval is obtained.
• - Coordinate the transition from approved samples to mass production.
• - Prepare project reports, quotations, customer documentation and other relevant records.
• - Visit customers when required for technical discussions, project meetings and business development.
