Job summary

Radii Global is seeking a skilled engineer to develop die concepts and layouts for new and existing metal stamping projects. You will design and update die sets to meet customer specifications, quality standards and cost targets, test samples, analyze issues and propose improvements.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Metal Fabrication, Tool & Die, Welding) with at least 2 years of die design experience, hands-on CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and proficiency in

• At least 2 years of die design experience in metal stamping or related operations.
• Hands-on experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Develop die concepts and layouts for new and existing metal stamping projects.
• Design and update metal stamping die sets to meet specifications, quality standards and cost targets.
• Test new samples, analyse issues and recommend design improvements or modifications to the die set.
• Review customer specifications, drawings and data and translate into manufacturable designs.
• Ensure design accuracy to minimise material waste, rework and downtime.
• Revise drawings to reflect design changes and enhancements.
• Work with engineers and production teams to ensure drawings match design intent and manufacturability.
• Maintain and update engineering drawings, records and design documentation.
• Keep up to date with new materials, tooling methods and technologies to improve die designs.

Key responsibilities

Develop die concepts and layouts for new and existing metal stamping projects

Design and update metal stamping die sets to meet customer specifications, quality standards and cost targets

Test new samples, analyse issues and recommend design improvements or modifications to the die set

Review customer specifications, drawings and technical data, and translate them into accurate, manufacturable designs

Ensure design accuracy to minimise material waste, rework and production downtime

Revise drawings and layouts to reflect design changes and enhancements

Work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure drawings match design intent and can be produced effectively

Maintain and update engineering drawings, records and design documentation

Use AutoCAD, Solid works or similar CAD software to prepare and manage all design work

Keep up to date with new materials, tooling methods and technologies to continuously improve die designs

About you

Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering (Metal Fabrication, Tool & Die, Welding) or equivalent

At least 2 years of working experience in metal stamping die design or related manufacturing/production operations

Hands on experience using AutoCAD, Solid works or similar CAD software

Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision and strong sense of responsibility

Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well with cross functional teams

Proactive, problem solving mindset and desire to create a positive experience for customers and colleagues
