Job summary

ABS Engineering & Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a driven Sales Engineer to promote our range of industrial pumps and liquid handling solutions. You will develop new accounts, travel for site visits, and present technical solutions to customers.

The role emphasizes account growth across Peninsular Malaysia with commission-based earnings, quarterly bonuses, and career development, supported by a team of technical leads.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in the sales of engineering or industrial products.
• Strong knowledge or exposure to engineering product applications, such as: AODD Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Gear / Lobe Pumps, Compressors, Actuators, Valves, Tubes and Fittings.
• Experience serving general industries, including Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Printing & Packaging, Food & Beverage, Personal Care, Brewery, Chemical Industries.
• Ability to deliver effective technical presentations and combine technical knowledge with strong selling skills.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Strong pricing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Possesses own transport and is willing to travel throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
• Willing to be based or relocate to the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Develop new customer accounts and explore new market opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, clearly explaining products and solutions to customers and prospects.
• Work closely with customers and internal engineers to assess equipment requirements and propose suitable system solutions.
• Provide prompt support to customers in resolving installed equipment issues.
• Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with prospective, new, and existing customers.
• Effectively promote and persuade customers on the value and reliability of ABS Engineering & Trading products and services.
• Establish and maintain an accurate customer database and manage sales activities using CRM systems.
• Prepare monthly sales reports, annual sales targets, and yearly market planning.
• Achieve assigned sales quotas and revenue objectives.
