Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a store associate for its pharmacy outlet. You will greet customers, understand their health needs and guide them to suitable products. Training is provided and teamwork is essential in delivering friendly, accurate service.

Responsibilities include assisting with stock, operating the POS system, and supporting pharmacists in non-clinical tasks. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and identify their healthcare needs.
• Provide product recommendations within training scope.
• Escalate medical or prescription inquiries to the pharmacist when appropriate.
• Introduce and perform basic health screenings as per SOP.
• Explain screening results per company guidelines and encourage participation in preventive programs.
• Meet sales targets and recommend suitable products.
• Maintain shelves, displays and FEFO inventory.
• Assist with stock receiving, replenishment and inventory checks.
• Support pharmacist and nutritionist with non-clinical tasks.
• Process sales transactions accurately and handle payments.
• Maintain store hygiene and regulatory compliance.
• Build relationships with regular customers and promote loyalty programs.
• Attend training, meetings and coaching sessions.

Responsibility

1. Deliver Outstanding Customer Service

• Welcome customers warmly and identify their healthcare needs.

• Provide product recommendations within the scope of training.

• Escalate medical or prescription-related enquiries to the pharmacist when appropriate.

  2. Promote Health Screening & Wellness Services

• Introduce and perform basic health screenings according to training and SOPs (e.g. blood pressure, body composition & blood glucose)

• Explain screening results based on company guidelines.

• Encourage customers to participate in preventive healthcare programs.

  3. Achieve Sales & Service KPIs

• Meet individual and outlet sales targets.

• Recommend suitable complementary products based on customer needs.

• Participate in promotional campaigns and focus product initiatives.

  4. Maintain Store Presentation & Merchandising

• Ensure shelves are fully stocked, clean, and properly labelled.

• Execute visual merchandising plans and promotional displays.

• Monitor product expiry dates and maintain First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) practices.

  5. Support Daily Pharmacy Operations

• Assist with stock receiving, replenishment, transfers, and inventory checks.

• Prepare products for customer collection where appropriate.

• Support the pharmacist and nutritionist with non-clinical operational tasks.

  6. Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) System

• Process sales transactions accurately.

• Handle cash, card, e-wallet, and loyalty program transactions.

• Balance the cash drawer and maintain transaction accuracy.

  7. Maintain Compliance & Store Standards

• Follow company SOPs, hygiene requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

• Ensure the store remains organized, clean, and audit-ready.

• Report operational issues, damaged products, or safety concerns promptly.

  8. Build Customer Relationships

• Develop good relationships with regular customers.

• Encourage membership registration and loyalty program participation.

• Follow up with customers on promotions, healthcare campaigns, or product availability where assigned.

  9. Participate in Learning & Professional Development

• Complete mandatory product knowledge, healthcare, and compliance training.

• Attend team meetings and coaching sessions.

• Continuously improve knowledge of health products and customer service skills.

  10. Work as a Collaborative Team Member

• Cooperate closely with pharmacists, dietitians, nutritionists, and other store colleagues.

• Support colleagues during busy periods and operational activities.

• Contribute positively to achieving outlet goals and maintaining a productive team environment.
