We are seeking a Sales Associate to join the Tectona Furniture team at our Kuala Lumpur City Centre location. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment in one of Kuala Lumpur's premier shopping destinations. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within our furniture retail operation. You will be the face of Tectona Furniture, creating memorable shopping experiences and building lasting relationships with our valued customers.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival, assessing their needs and preferences
• Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
• Demonstrate furniture features, styles and functionality to showcase product benefits
• Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and payment methods
• Maintain an inviting and organised retail display environment, ensuring product presentation meets company standards
• Handle customer enquiries and address concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Achieve individual and team sales targets whilst maintaining a customer-first approach
• Assist with stock management, inventory checks and product arrangement on the shop floor
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional service delivery
• Stay informed about current promotions, product launches and company initiatives to effectively communicate with customers

What we’re looking for

• Proven retail or customer service experience, preferably in furniture, home decor or similar retail environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer groups
• Excellent product knowledge capability and willingness to learn about furniture styles, materials and design
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting and handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously
• Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Professional appearance and demeanour that reflects our brand values
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
• Physical ability to assist customers and handle furniture displays as needed
• Fluency in English and Malay; additional languages are advantageous
