Responsibilities

Zubir Food Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Assistant to join our team in Masai, Johor. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our food distribution and market presence across retail outlets, wholesale channels, foodservice providers, and B2B clients. You will build and maintain strong client relationships, drive revenue growth, and identify new business opportunities in the region.

Key responsibilities

Identify and prospect potential B2B clients, retail accounts, supermarkets, restaurants, and foodservice operators across Johor

Build, nurture, and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients and distributors to ensure account retention and recurring orders

Drive product sales, negotiate commercial terms, and consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Monitor industry trends, track competitor pricing and promotions, and report market feedback to management to help shape sales strategies

Conduct product presentations, line displays, and tasting sessions or demonstrations for target buyers and trade events

Oversee payment collections, assist with credit terms verification, and coordinate closely with logistics and warehousing teams to ensure timely delivery

About you

Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably within the Food & Beverage (F&B), FMCG, or wholesale distribution sectors

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Service Management, or a related field (relevant sales experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications)

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated with a track record of meeting sales goals

Valid driving license and personal vehicle for client site visits throughout Johor

Fluency in Bahasa Melayu and English; proficiency in Mandarin or regional dialects is an added advantage
