Job summary

KAH GUAN ENTERPRISE SDN. BHD. in Kota Padawan, Sarawak, is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant to focus on sales and customer service within our fresh and frozen foods team.

You will answer inquiries, arrange product displays, ensure clear pricing, monitor freshness, and keep the counter clean and hygienic. You will also handle POS and autocount transactions, scan items, and process payments, while communicating in Bahasa Malaysia and English; on‑the‑job training is provided for fresh graduates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of SPM / O-Level or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates welcome; on-the-job training provided.
• Friendly, energetic and customer-oriented.
• Comfortable working around raw food displays.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa and English.

We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join our fresh and frozen food team, focus strictly on sales and customer service.

Key responsibilities

Answer inquiries about products.

Arrange fresh and frozen products on display freezers.

Ensure all items have clear and accurate price tags.

Monitor products on display to ensure high quality and freshness.

Handle point-of-sale (POS) and autocount transactions, scan items, and process payments (cash, cards, e-wallets) accurately.

Keep the sales and counter area clean, organized and hygienic at all times.

Requirement

Minimum of SPM / O-Level or equivalent

Fresh graduates or individuals without experience are welcome (On-the-job training will be provided)

Friendly, energetic, and customer-oriented

Comfortable working around raw food displays

Ability to communicate in Bahasa and English

Statutory Contributions: EPF, SOCSO and EIS
