Job summary

Pudu Ria Florist Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant in Penang. The role involves processing transactions, handling cash and cards, and delivering friendly customer service in a fresh cut flower retail environment.

You will maintain the checkout area, reconcile daily sales, and assist with basic stock replenishment while adhering to company cash-handling policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in cashier or retail customer service
• Proficiency in basic mathematics
• Familiarity with systems for sales processing and inventory management

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the system, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting with inquiries in a retail florist environment
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area with stocked supplies for the shift
• Reconcile daily cash drawer and sales transactions, prepare end-of-day reports and balanced records
• Assist with basic inventory checks and stock replenishment at the front counter as needed
• Adhere to company policies on cash handling, security, and customer service standards

• Possess a minimum of Secondary/SPM/'O' Level education
• Demonstrate 1-2 years of relevant experience in a cashier or retail customer service role, preferably within a retail or merchandise environment
• Proficiency in basic mathematics for accurate transaction processing and change calculation
• Familiarity with systems for efficient sales processing and inventory management
• Strong cash handling skills, including managing cash floats, processing payments, and reconciling daily transactions
• Ability to perform daily closing procedures accurately and efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful demeanor, capable of assisting customers and resolving inquiries
• Able to work on PH/ shift

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic inventory checks and stock replenishment at the front counter as needed, especially for small items or accessories near the checkout
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, security, and customer service standards to minimize discrepancies and maintain operational integrity
