Role Description

The Sales & Application Engineer (Electrical) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Shah Alam. This role involves identifying customer needs, preparing technical proposals, and presenting solutions for electrical, instrumentation, and measurement systems. The individual will support the sales cycle by providing technical clarification, conducting site visits, and coordinating with internal engineering teams to design and configure suitable solutions. Daily tasks include responding to customer inquiries, offering application support, assisting with system commissioning, and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients. The role also includes preparing documentation, collaborating on tenders and quotations, and providing post-sales technical support to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Experience in Sales Engineering and Sales, with proven ability to understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Background in Technical Support, including troubleshooting, on-site support, and customer training for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Exposure to Mechanical Engineering concepts, especially where they interact with electrical and instrumentation applications.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required and a valid driver's license where applicable.
• Experience in industrial, energy-efficient solutions, or instrumentation projects is an advantage.
