Job summary

HICOM-Teck See Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Safety Technician to support the implementation and maintenance of workplace health, safety, and environmental programs in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

The role ensures regulatory compliance and promotes a safe working environment for all staff. You will conduct routine safety inspections, assist in incident investigations, maintain safety records, support emergency preparedness and participate in the Emergency Response Team (ERT),

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in safety, HSE, or related field; fresh graduates with relevant certification may be considered.
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to enforce safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safety Compliance & Monitoring: Conduct routine safety inspections and audits across facilities, monitor workplace conditions to identify hazards and risks and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Incident & Risk Management: Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, maintain records of workplace injuries and safety-related data and support risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation, update safety procedures, policies, and SOPs as required and prepare periodic safety performance reports.
• Equipment & Facility Safety: Ensure fire safety equipment and emergency systems are functional and coordinate maintenance or corrective actions for unsafe conditions.
• Emergency Preparedness: Support emergency response planning and evacuation drills and act as part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
