Job summary

Tai Sun Lim Kee Food Ind (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an OHS and Environmental Policies lead to maintain and develop our safety program across the company. You will work with factory teams to audit premises, assess risks and implement preventive measures.

The role requires strong collaboration with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance. You will train employees and executives, investigate incidents, and continuously improve SOPs to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Job description

This role involves maintaining the development of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Environmental Policies and Programs for the Company. You will lead and conduct periodic audits with factory supporting teams to inspect premises, workplace, and personnel work with risk assessment to identify issues of non-conformity.

Key responsibilities

Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or detrimental to health

Advise and instruct on various work and environmental safety-related topics (for instance, noise levels, use of PPEs, machineries)

Provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations

Prepare audit finding reports with action plans to enforce preventive measures

Oversee line installations, maintenance and disposal of hazardous substances

Monitor the effectiveness of control measures

Constantly review existing policies and measures and update operating procedures (SOPs) in accordance with Regulatory Requirements

Encourage worker participation and initiate and organize OHS training for employees and executives

Investigate any near missed incidents or accidents, provide recommendations for corrective and preventive measures, and ensure maintenance of required injury and illness record keeping

Serve as liaison with external agencies such as DOSH, DOE, Fire Department (BOMBA), MOH, and coordinate and follow-up on audits
