Job summary

Mindteck in Malaysia is seeking a Safety Site Supervisor to oversee workplace health and safety across construction site operations. You will enforce safety requirements, conduct inspections, manage risks, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with Malaysian OSH regulations.

The role demands a Diploma or degree in OSH or related discipline, experience in site safety, and strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with project teams, contractors, regulators, and clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in construction site safety supervision or OSH.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health requirements and construction safety practices.
• Experience in site inspections, toolbox meetings, safety inductions, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Good knowledge of construction hazards, PPE, and safe work practices.
• DOSH-recognised Yellow Book / required safety competency certification applicable to the role.
• Strong communication, leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively with workers, contractors, management, and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce site safety policies, procedures, risk controls, and safe work practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and worker/subcontractor safety briefings.
• Monitor compliance with PPE, permit, risk assessment, and safe work requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, including inspections, training, incidents, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills, regulatory inspections, and safety audits.
• Monitor safety performance, identify trends, and recommend continuous improvements
