Zusammenfassung

Farm Fresh Berhad is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to lead EHS initiatives across our manufacturing sites in Malaysia. You will develop and maintain ISO 14001/45001 systems, conduct risk assessments, and ensure DOSH, FMA, DOE compliance.

You will drive training, investigations, and KPI reporting. The role requires a DOSH Green Book SHO registration, a Bachelor's degree in OSH or related field, and a minimum of 5 years in FMCG/food processing.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
• Registered SHO with DOSH (Green Book) and NIOSH certification.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing (FMCG/food/process industry preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA, Environmental Quality Act, CLASS Regulation, and scheduled waste management.

Aufgaben

• Act as the appointed Safety & Health Officer in compliance with OSHA 1994 and DOSH/JKKP requirements.
• Develop and maintain EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001), including SOPs and risk assessments.
• Lead OSHC meetings and ensure timely action tracking.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and BBS programs.
• Investigate incidents; perform Root Cause Analysis and implement CAPA.
• Ensure compliance with Factory & Machinery Act; boilers and pressure vessels inspections.
• Manage environmental compliance: scheduled waste, DOE requirements, effluent, emissions, and noise monitoring.
• Oversee chemical safety: CLASS Regulations, CHRA, SDS management.
• Plan and deliver EHS training (induction, LOTO, confined space, hot work, emergency response).
• Manage ERP, drills, and coordination with BOMBA, DOE, DOSH, MOH.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities for audits and submissions.
• Manage contractor safety programs including PTW systems.
• Track and report EHS KPIs (LTI, TRIR, training hours).
• Drive continuous improvement and safety culture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001), including SOPs, policies, HIRARC, JSA, and risk assessments.
• Lead Occupational Safety & Health Committee (OSHC) meetings and ensure timely action tracking.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) programs.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA.
• Ensure compliance with Factory & Machinery Act (FMA), including boilers, pressure vessels, and DOSH inspections.
• Manage environmental compliance: scheduled waste, DOE requirements, industrial effluent, emissions, and noise monitoring.
• Oversee chemical safety (CLASS Regulations, CHRA, SDS management).
• Plan and deliver EHS training (induction, LOTO, confined space, working at height, hot work, emergency response).
• Manage Emergency Response Plans (ERP), drills, and coordination with BOMBA, DOE, DOSH, MOH.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities for audits, inspections, and compliance submissions.
• Manage contractor safety programs including permit-to-work (PTW) systems.
• Track and report EHS KPIs (LTI, TRIR, audit closure, training hours).
• Drive continuous improvement and safety culture initiatives.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field
• Mandatory: Registered SHO with DOSH (Green Book) and NIOSH certification
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing (FMCG / food / process industry preferred)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA, Environmental Quality Act, CLASS Regulations, and scheduled waste management
• Familiar with boiler and wastewater compliance (DOSH & DOE requirements)

Preferred Certification

• NEBOSH, ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
• CHRA, Scheduled Waste Competent Person
• First Aider / Emergency Response Team (ERT)
