BEAKS CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a qualified Health and Safety Officer to lead safety initiatives on-site in Kuala Lumpur. You will implement safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and train staff to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Green Book certified SHO with DOSH/JKKP, plus a relevant degree or professional qualification in Environment/Health/Safety. Strong communication and coordination with authorities are essential.

Qualificações

• A certified and registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/JKKP (Green Book Holder).
• Professional Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Environment/Health/Safety.
• Familiar with OSHA regulations and requirements; knowledge in safety practices.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 is an added advantage.
• Work with local statutory bodies to ensure compliance and update OSH issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff.

Responsabilidades

• Implement safety and health standards in the workplace.
• Collect, analyze and maintain statistics on loss time incidents and hazards.
• Monitor effectiveness of safety measures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA).
• Develop and train OHS policies and programs.
• Advise on safety topics (noise, vibration, pollution).
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures.
• Induct and brief employees; perform Pre-Task Talks (PTT).
• Record incidents and compile reports for management.
• Liaise with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP to ensure ongoing OSH compliance.

To implement safety and health standard in the work place in line with good practices.

To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any loss time incidents, accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning and diseases or other hazards, which have occurred at the work place.

To monitor and check the effectiveness and efficiency of the safety and health measures in the work place, including corrective action plans required.

To ensure the safety and health standards and practices comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.

Support the development of OHS policies and programs.

Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise, vibration, water & air pollution)

Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.

Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.

Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives.

Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)

Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.

Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.

Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.

Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.

To conduct briefing Pre-Task Talk (PTT) every morning before start work

To do induction briefing registration regarding safety during in workplace.

High rise construction: 2 years (Preferred)

Job Requirements

A certified and registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH / JKKP (Green Book Holder).

Professional Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma,Professional Degree (Environment / Health / Safety) or its equivalent.

Familiar with OSHA regulations & requirements. Knowledge in safety practices.
