Job summary

Luxshare Precision (J) Sdn Bhd is seeking an EHS professional to support management and implementation of EHS programs across the site. The role focuses on achieving CSER objectives, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001/45001, and driving continual improvement in safety and environmental performance.

Responsibilities include leading incident investigations, coordinating audits, training, and emergency preparedness, while maintaining EHS documentation and reporting.

Job description

1. 1. EHS Management– Assist in managing and implementing company EHS programs, policies, objectives and improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements and company standards and to achieve company’s overall CSER Objectives.
2. 2. Safety Management– Conduct workplace inspections, monitor HIRARC implementation, identify workplace hazards, ensure proper PPE compliance and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
3. 3. Environmental Management– Monitor environmental compliance, manage scheduled waste and chemical storage activities, maintain environmental records and support pollution prevention and environmental improvement initiatives.
4. 4. Incident & Accident Management– Lead or participate in incident investigations, identify root causes, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and monitor their implementation and effectiveness.
5. 5. Audit & Compliance– Coordinate and support internal, customer and third-party EHS audits, ensure proper documentation and follow up on audit findings in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RBA/CSER and applicable legal requirements.
6. 6. Training & Awareness– Identify, develop and coordinate EHS training, induction, toolbox talks and awareness programs to enhance employee competency and promote a safe working environment.
7. 7. Emergency Preparedness– Coordinate emergency preparedness programs, support ERT activities, conduct emergency drills and ensure emergency equipment and facilities are properly maintained.
8. 8. EHS Documentation & Reporting– Maintain EHS procedures, records and statutory documentation, prepare periodic EHS performance reports and monitor the achievement of EHS KPIs.
9. 9. EHS Improvement– Identify and implement opportunities to improve workplace safety, environmental performance, pollution prevention and overall EHS culture through continual improvement initiatives.
10. 10. Team & Stakeholder Coordination– Coordinate EHS personnel and activities, facilitate Safety and Health Committee meetings, communicate significant EHS risks to management and liaise with relevant departments, government authorities, consultants and contractors. Provide support on the compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RBA/CSER and other applicable standards.

Job Requirements:

• -Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health, Engineering or a related discipline. Equivalent qualifications may be considered where appropriate.
• -Must possess a valid DOSH/JKKP-registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) Green Book and maintain the required registration status
• -Must hold a valid Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM) certification recognized by the Department of Environment (DOE)
• -Preferably with a minimum of 6years of relevant ESH/OSH experience, including practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with a large workforce and multiple production shifts.
• -Demonstrated experience in production safety, machine guarding, HIRARC, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, chemical safety, LOTO, workplace inspections and audit management, contractor safety and manufacturing workplace inspections.
• -Good knowledge of Malaysian OSH legislation and DOSH requirements.
• -Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, CSER initiatives and ESH audits.
• -Good communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
