Job summary

GC PACKAGING SDN BHD in Kulai, Johor, Malaysia, invites applications for a contract-based HR/Admin & Safety support role. You will assist in direct labor recruitment, foreign worker management, and safety compliance activities.

You will also help run worker hostels, handle admin tasks, coordinate safety training and toolbox talks, and support incident investigations and documentation to ensure regulatory and company standards are met.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of working experience in HR, admin & safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Possess own transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist in recruitment for direct labor including sourcing, interviewing and onboarding.
Assist on foreign worker management including documentation, permit renewals and immigration.
Manage worker hostels including cleanliness, maintenance and compliance with legal standards.
Handle administrative tasks such as locker, stationary, uniform, safety shoes, waste disposal management.
Coordinate safety policies, procedures and programs in compliance with legal and company requirements.
Conduct safety inspections, audits and risk assessments across the facility.
Assist in incident investigations and corrective actions.
Maintain safety-related documentation and training records.
Coordinate safety and Environment training and toolbox meetings for employees.
Respond to workplace accidents by coordinating first aid and ensuring timely medical treatment.

Job description

Manage worker hostels including cleanliness, maintenance, utilities, and compliance with legal standards.

Responsible for administrative tasks such as locker, stationary, uniform, safety shoes, waste disposal management (general/scheduled waste), medical management, worker transport, water dispenser, vending machines and others.

Handle general affairs support such as sending workers to clinic, hospital, immigration, embassy and others.

Assist on develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with legal and company requirements.

Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the facility.

Assist on incident and accident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Maintain safety-related documentation, including reports, permits, and training records.

Assist on coordinate safety/ Environment training and toolbox meetings for employees.

Respond to workplace accidents by coordinating first aid and ensuring employees receive timely medical treatment, including transporting injured workers to the hospital when necessary.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or a related field.
