Job summary

J&T Express is seeking a Safety Officer to monitor and enforce workplace safety across its gateway and warehouse facilities in Malaysia. The role involves conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and ensuring PPE compliance for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

You will organize safety briefings and drills, oversee emergency preparedness, and maintain accurate safety records. A strong understanding of Malaysian safety regulations and practical training skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in workplace safety within logistics or warehousing is preferred.
• Familiarity with DOSH regulations and OSHA 1994 is advantageous.
• Ability to conduct safety inspections and prepare reports.
• Strong communication and training delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and identify hazards in gateway and warehouse areas.
• Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses, and prepare reports.
• Ensure adherence to PPE usage by employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Organize safety briefings, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
• Monitor emergency preparedness, including fire prevention and evacuation procedures.
• Maintain safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.
