Job summary

PMW INTERNATIONAL BERHAD invites applications for an Occupational Safety Health and Environmental Executive to implement, monitor, and maintain workplace safety and health standards, ensuring regulatory compliance and guidance to staff.

The role conducts audits and inspections, investigates incidents, provides safety training on PPE and emergency procedures, maintains records, and coordinates with external agencies to meet safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Health & Environmental/a related field.
• NIOSH, EIMAS or any other related certification.
• Minimum of 3 year of experience in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meeting minutes and assist monthly and other meeting slides/reports.
• Implement and enforce workplace safety and health policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular workplace audits and inspections for OSHA/DOE/BOMBA compliance.
• Provide safety, health, environmental, firefighting and drill training to employees and advise on PPE and emergency procedures.
• Investigate accidents and near misses to determine causes and corrective actions for management review.
• Maintain ESWIS inventory and ensure waste storage is handled by certified vendors.
• Monitor effectiveness of safety measures and suggest improvements.
• Maintain records of safety inspections, investigations, and health and safety training.
• Advise management on safety and health matters and coordinate emergency drills.
• Work with external agencies and contractors to meet safety standards on all projects.
• Undertake ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Occupational Safety Health and Environmental Executive

This role focuses on implementing, monitoring, and maintaining workplace safety and health standards. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and providing guidance to employees on safe workplace practices.

Summary of Duties / Responsibilities:

Prepare the meeting minutes, and assist the monthly and other meeting slides/report.

Implement and enforce workplace safety and health policies and procedures.

Conduct regular workplace audit & inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOE, BOMBA or any others ACTS.

Provide regularly Safety, Health, Environmental, firefighting/fire drill training and guidance to employees on workplace Safety practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures.

Investigate accidents, incidents case immediately, and near misses to determine causes and recommend corrective actions report for management review.

Any accident causes more than 4 days medical leave required to report to mykkp.

Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety programs that reduce workplace hazards.

To keep maintain it the scheduled wasted storage, and the SW collection should be done by the certified vendors. Keep updating the ESWIS inventory

Monitor the effectiveness of safety measures and suggest improvements as necessary.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, accident investigations, and health and safety training.

Advise management on safety and health matters, ensuring compliance with local safety regulations.

Coordinate and assist with emergency response drills and procedures.

Assist in the preparation of safety reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.

Work with external agencies and contractors to ensure safety standards are met on all projects.

Undertake any ad hoc tasks as assigned by the superior or Head of Department (HOD).

Minimum Qualification, Requirement and Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Health & Environmental/a related field.

NIOSH, EIMAS or any other related certification.

Minimum of 3 year of experience in a relevant field.
