Job summary

Accenture PLC in Malaysia seeks a Junior Core Banking Developer with 3-5 years of experience in Deposits and Payment Systems. The role focuses on developing, testing, and supporting core banking applications using RPG on the AS400 platform, ensuring code quality and regulatory compliance.

You will analyze requirements for deposit and payment systems, work with Local Payments and Bill Payments, optimize DB2 interactions, and participate in code reviews.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Core Banking application development.
• Hands-on RPG programming on AS400.
• Experience with DB2 database and AS400 OS.
• Knowledge of Deposit products, Local Payments, and Bill Payments.
• Experience in one or more: Cash Management/Rate Provision, GIRO Processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Core Banking apps using RPG on AS400.
• Analyze requirements for deposit and payments systems.
• Support Local Payments and Bill Payment functions.
• Develop and optimize programs and DB2 interactions.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with analysts, testers, and stakeholders throughout SDLC.
• Prepare technical documentation and design specs.
• Support testing, UAT, deployment and post-production support.
• Ensure security, performance, and regulatory compliance.
