Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to support its BNB properties in Penang. You will handle deliveries, inspect units, perform basic repairs, and coordinate with contractors to keep guest-ready environments.

This role requires hands-on technical skills for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC basics, attention to safety SOPs, and the ability to work with housekeeping and ops teams to resolve urgent issues.

Responsibilities

• Handle delivery and errand duties, including purchasing and transporting supplies, documents, and equipment between properties, ensuring timely completion to support daily operations.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of BNB units, including electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and general repair works.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor maintenance issues promptly to ensure all units remain safe, functional, and guest-ready.
• Perform pre-check-in inspection of units to ensure all facilities, including lighting, water supply, appliances, and furniture, are fully functional and ready for guest arrival.
• Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for major repairs or specialized maintenance works when required.
• Monitor, manage, and maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and inventory supplies.
• Support housekeeping and operations teams whenever urgent assistance is needed.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPS, safety standards, and operational procedures at all times.
• Maintain professionalism, discipline, punctuality, and a clean working environment while on duty.
• Report any damages, defects, safety risks, or operational issues promptly to management.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management that are aligned with the responsibilities of the position.
