Job summary

FOZ One Sdn Bhd is seeking a Robotics Engineer/Senior Engineer to optimize and automate manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment. You will work with production, maintenance, quality and R&D teams to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of automated systems.

The role requires strong expertise in robotics, PLC systems and industrial automation on the shop floor with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronics/Automation/Control & Instrumentation engineering.
• Experience with robotics, PLCs, motion control and industrial communications.
• Hands-on robot integration on production lines and production floor safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Improve machine effectiveness through robotics and automation optimization.
• Perform robot teaching, path programming, cycle time improvement and error recovery.
• Integrate robots with PLCs, conveyors, sensors and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in automated systems.
• Drive continuous improvement activities for automation performance.

About the Role

A Robotics Engineer/Senior Engineer is responsible for optimizing and automating manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires strong technical expertise in robotics, PLC systems, and industrial automation. The engineer will collaborate closely with production, maintenance, quality, and R&D teams to ensure smooth operation, seamless integration, and continuous improvement of automated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Improve Machine Effectiveness (Quantity, Quality, Safety) through robotics and automation optimization.

Perform robot teaching, path programming, cycle time improvement, and error recovery.

Integrate robots with PLCs, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.

Troubleshoot automation/robotic systems and resolve production issues.

Close findings after customer comments and ensure customer satisfaction.

Drive continuous improvement activities for automation performance.

Conduct 4M analysis and update history logs.

Prepare Job Sheets and Project Assignment Reports.

Collect and analyze machine buy-off data (Internal & External).

Support installation, commissioning, and testing of robotic or automated equipment.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, interlocks, and emergency stop systems.

Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve line reliability.

Qualification & Requirements:

Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering (EE)/ Mechatronics Engineering/ Automation Engineering/ Control & Instrumentation Engineering or relevant field.

PLC & automation systems including motion control, sensors & industrial communication.

Robot integration with conveyor/vision/PLC & hands-on experience in robotic applications.

Strong problem-solving, safety awareness & ability to work on production floor.
