Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Trucking Branch Manager to lead daily branch operations in Malaysia, overseeing scheduling, dispatching, route optimization, and ensuring on-time, safe transportation of goods. You will recruit and develop staff, coordinate with fleet maintenance, and serve as the main contact for customer inquiries.

The role emphasizes driving growth, maintaining profitability, and complying with regulations while coordinating with warehousing for accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma holder with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Min. 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and manage priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Leading & oversee daily branch trucking operations, including scheduling, dispatching and route optimization.
• Ensure timely, safely, and efficient transportation of goods.
• Manage vehicle and driver assignments and coordinate with fleet maintenance teams for vehicle upkeep.
• Recruit, train, and manage branch employees including drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to trucking service.
• Monitor shipments in transit and proactively resolve any delivery issues or delays.
• Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and dispatch.
• Manage road freight movements to ensure timely delivery.
• Track and report on key logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery, transport cost, and load utilization.
• Prepare and review shipping documents, manifests, and invoices.
