Job summary

Monks is seeking a Revenue Control Analyst to join the Corporate team in Kuala Lumpur. The role supports billing operations, revenue recognition analysis, and scalable system implementations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in accounting or revenue/billing, strong Excel and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced tech environment. AdTech/startup experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years accounting experience, minimum 3 years revenue/billing experience.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with IFRS15 concepts is a plus.
• Experience in AdTech or technology startups preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts/IOs/SOWs to ensure approval and IFRS15 compliance.
• Collaborate with business partners for revenue scheduling.
• Coordinate with delivery teams to resolve PO/PO discrepancies.
• Reconcile COGS accruals and revenue-related bills monthly.
• Develop and maintain metrics for senior leadership.
• Identify process improvements to billing and accounting workflows.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

The Role

We're seeking a Revenue Control Analyst to join the Corporate team. The successful candidate will assist the finance team to execute billing operations, revenue recognition analysis, and implementation of scalable systems and processes.

Responsibilities Will Include

• Review contracts/IOs/SOWs to ensure appropriate approval and IFRS15 requirements
• Collaborate cross functionally with business partners for appropriate revenue scheduling
• Collaborate with delivery teams to resolve proof of delivery discrepancies in a timely manner
• Reconcile COGS accrual and bills on a monthly basis in order accurately reflect net revenue
• Develop and maintain metrics for senior leadership
• Identify process improvements and coordinate with other departments to improve billing/accounting process efficiency
• Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English (both written and spoken)
• Bachelor degree completed in accounting, finance, or related field
• 3+ years accounting experience, minimum 3 years revenue/billing experience
• Excel in analytical and problem solving skills
• You are able to prioritize competing demands.
• Ability to work with various computer systems and large data sets
• Ease of learning and adaptation: we have the ability to change fast
• Experience in AdTech or technology startups preferred
