Job summary

COUCH DESIGNS SDN BHD in Puchong, Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Branch Manager to lead retail sales and operations. You will set goals, drive profitability, manage daily branch activities, and coach a team to deliver strong KPI performance.

The role requires 5+ years in retail, proven managerial experience, and strong people skills. Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential to serve Mandarin-speaking clients. Willingness to travel and engage with customers and partners is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail industry.
• Experience as area manager, store manager, assistant manager or similar managerial role.
• Strong people management, motivation and decision‑making skills.
• Independent, resourceful, performance‑orientated, self‑motivated, service‑oriented and able to interact with all levels of people.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Fluent in English & Mandarin; Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred to serve Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Travel frequently is required.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for overall branch sales achievement and profitability.
• Plan and implement overall branch retail sales & operations strategy, setting team goals and directions to achieve sales performance.
• Able to handle and manage branch's daily operations according to the company policy and SOP.
• Manage sales performance of all branch staff to meet KPI set.
• Involve in soliciting for retail business, maintaining good rapport with customers, prospects, staff and business partners.
• Supervise, train and develop branch staff to improve their competency.
• Build and foster strong teamwork and working relationship among all branch personnel.
• Ensure branch setup and display is following the Retail Guide.
• Attend to customer selling floor whenever required.
• Establish sales goals, monitor sales performance, and implement strategies to improve sales.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate sales associates to ensure high performance and productivity.
• Develop and implement customer engagement strategies.
• Analyze customer data to assess buying behaviors and trends.
• Manage store operations, including administrative duties, staff scheduling, organizing promotional campaigns, and events.
