Job summary

IKEA Malaysia is seeking an FM Specialist to manage the built asset of the store, ensuring an environment that supports the core business and adheres to IKEA standards. Qualifications

• Professional certificate in mechanical or electrical engineering or PW4 equivalent.
• 3–5 years of facilities management/maintenance experience, preferably in large retail.
• Hands-on knowledge of building systems (HVAC, fire alarm, access controls).
• Knowledge of building management laws and safety.
• Willing to work weekends, shifts and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair all plant and equipment in store and ensure building fabric is sound.
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical problems, propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate and supervise work by outside contractors per policy and safety rules.
• Conduct scheduled and reactive inspections of property equipment and systems.
• Keep customer areas, plant rooms and stores clean, secure and pest-free; manage emergencies.
