Job summary

IKEA Gruppe is hiring a Risk Control and Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance for our Shopping Centre operations in Malaysia. You will partner with centre leaders and service providers to ensure licences, inspections, and corrective actions are tracked and closed.

You will lead internal checks, analyse incidents, and guide risk workshops to improve controls. The role demands seniority, strong leadership, and hands-on safety expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a similar or compliance role in retail or related industries; min 3+ years in managerial level.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory requirements for Shopping Centre operations, including safety, security, facilities, and licensing.
• Ensure risk and compliance SOPs and governance are implemented consistently with local requirements.
• Coordinate licences, permits, inspections and corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Support inspections, document findings, and drive closure with evidence.
