Job summary

myFirst Tech Sdn Bhd is seeking a Retail Associate Promoter to actively engage walk-in customers at Sunway Pyramid, IOI City Mall and IOI Damansara. You will demonstrate products, explain features, and strive to meet monthly KPIs while maintaining attractive displays.

Ideal candidates are passionate about gadgets, with strong communication skills and the ability to stand for long hours, including weekend shifts. Training is provided on kids tech products.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Diploma required.
• Passion for gadgets or consumer electronics.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Engage walk-in customers and explain product features.
• Demonstrate products, including unboxings and feature walkthroughs.
• Aim to meet monthly sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain displays and ensure devices are charged and showcased.
• Stay updated on new launches, promotions and competitors.
• Handle basic inquiries and troubleshoot simple issues.

Job description

Retail Associate Promoters actively approach and engage walk-in customers at retail locations, explaining product features, specifications, and benefits. You will conduct live product demonstrations, achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs, and maintain product displays to ensure units are charged, functional, and properly showcased.

Key responsibilities

Actively approach and engage walk-in customers, explaining product features, specifications, and benefits

Conduct live product demonstrations (e.g. unboxing, feature walkthroughs, comparisons)

Achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs set by the brand/agency

Maintain product displays, ensure units are charged, functional, and properly showcased

Keep up to date with new product launches, promotions, and competitor offerings

Handle basic customer inquiries and troubleshoot simple product issues

Collect customer leads/data for follow-up (where applicable, per data privacy policy)

Manage stock levels at the counter and report replenishment needs

Prepare daily/weekly sales reports for the supervisor or brand manager

Ensure compliance with brand SOPs, uniform, and grooming standards

Locations: Sunway Pyramid, IOI City Mall and IOI Damansara.

About you

Minimum SPM/Diploma; relevant retail or promoter experience is a plus

Passion for gadgets, technology, or consumer electronics

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident engaging strangers

Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet targets

Basic understanding of kids tech products (training provided)

Comfortable standing for extended periods and working retail/weekend hours

Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin an advantage
