Job summary

MAPPAS RESTAURANT is seeking a capable waitstaff supervisor to oversee dining room service and ensure guest satisfaction. You will be the main contact between guests, servers, and kitchen staff, ensuring orders are executed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, guiding staff, handling VIP orders, and maintaining presentation standards. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a waiter/waitress; supervisory or captain experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine service (if applicable).
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work under pressure.
• Professional grooming and presentation.
• Basic POS and billing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and seat them comfortably.
• Supervise and coordinate waitstaff during service.
• Take and confirm guest orders, especially VIP or complex orders.
• Ensure timely and correct serving of food and drinks.
• Train and guide service staff.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff on orders.
• Check table settings, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Monitor inventory of service materials.
• Ensure adherence to hygiene and service standards.
• Assist in billing and end-of-shift reports when required.
• Coordinate reservations and manage table assignments.
