About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to join XIANG XIANG JU RESTAURANT SDN BHD at our location in Bandar Puteri Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our restaurant (Non Halal). As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, maintaining exceptional service standards, and creating a welcoming environment for our guests. This position is integral to achieving our business objectives and delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.

What you’ll be doing

Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management

Manage and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations

Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction through effective team leadership and quality control

Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue management

Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as food safety standards

Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, ensuring prompt resolution

Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery

Implement promotional activities and marketing initiatives to drive customer engagement and loyalty

Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage vendor accounts effectively

Prepare regular reports on operational performance and present findings to senior management

What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar senior hospitality management role, preferably within an Non Halal restaurant setting

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

Excellent customer service and communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction

Sound knowledge of restaurant operations, including food service, kitchen procedures, and inventory control

Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost management, and revenue optimisation

Familiarity with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations applicable in Malaysia

Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems

Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is preferred, with the ability to communicate with diverse teams and guests

Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
