Resident Quantity Surveyor – Civil & Water Projects Lead

Job description

Candidate must possess Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying.

At least fifteen (15) years of working experience in Engineering Consultant Firm.

Experience in handling Civil Engineering, Utility or Industrial, Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP) projects will be an advantage.

Registered with Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BSM) and practitioners as Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS).

Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), budgets forecasts of Water Treatment Plant and related documents.

Evaluate tender documents, analyze contractor and subcontractor quotations, and assist in awarding contracts.

Manage interim valuations, assess variation, process progress claim from contractors.

Monitor project expenditures againts budget and prepare monthly financial statements and cost-value reconciliations (CVR).

Handle contractual claims, extensions of time (EOT), and final account settlements in compliance with local construction standards (e.g., PAM, CIDB or PWD).

Proficient in the use of specific software, such as estimating and project management tools (MyCESMM2).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholder, contractors, project team and other professionals.

Must be willing to work and be based at the project site in Kuantan, Pahang and travel to Head Quarters Cheras, Selangor when required.
