Sunway Medical Centre Velocity is seeking an experienced Resident Medical Officer to support neonates and paediatric inpatients in the Paediatric Ward. You will assess, diagnose and manage acute cases alongside consultants, with emphasis on timely interventions and comprehensive care.

Required MMC recognition, APC, and at least 3 years in acute/ward or ICU settings; paediatric experience is a plus. Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment are essential.

• MMC-recognised medical degree.
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience in acute care, ward management, or ICU.
• Paediatric experience is advantageous.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to support the management of critically ill neonates and paediatric patients within our Paediatric Ward and inpatient care service.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions in collaboration with consultants and supervising physicians
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, investigations, and treatment planning
• Monitor patient progress and initiate timely interventions during emergencies
• Perform clinical procedures including airway management, IV access, blood sampling, catheterization, and resuscitation when required
• Coordinate patient care, transfers, admissions, and discharges
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, and hospital programmes

Qualification & Requirements

• Medical Degree recognised by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience in acute care, ward management, or intensive care settings
• Paediatric experience will be an added advantage
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
