Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Sdn Bhd in Subang Jaya is seeking a Paediatric Medical Officer to manage emergency paediatric cases, including triage, resuscitation, treatment and timely referrals.

You will document care in the Hospital Information System, maintain high professional standards, and communicate clearly with Consultants, patients and staff.

The role requires MMC-registered doctors with APC and 5–7 years of relevant paediatrics experience, with strong decision-making and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Recognized Medical Degree from an accredited university.
• MMC registration with APC.
• 5-7 years of Paediatrics experience.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assessment, resuscitation, stabilization, diagnosis, treatment and referral of emergency paediatric patients.
• Carry out procedures and prescribe medications within the Medical Officer scope.
• Refer and communicate cases effectively with Consultants and relevant healthcare professionals.
• Provide proper handover of patients and responsibilities between shifts.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Follow hospital SOPs, demonstrate good procedural skills, and maintain professional communication with patients and staff.
• Respond appropriately to patient feedback and incident reports.

Job Requirement:

Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).

Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in Paediatrics.
