A healthcare facility in Selangor, Malaysia is looking for a Resident Medical Officer for the Emergency Department. This role involves providing 24-hour medical cover, performing initial assessments, and managing patient care according to established guidelines. Candidates must have an MBBS/MD degree and 3–5 years of experience in emergency medicine. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, with Mandarin as a plus. Strong professional skills, patient management capabilities, and emergency care expertise are essential for this position.
All casualty patients should be directed to the Medical Officer (MO) stationed at the Emergency Department (ED), according to the roster provided by the hospital. It is pertinent that the Medical Officer makes it clear that he/she is a Medical Officer and that a specialist is available if requested. The role involves being part of a team providing 24‑hour medical cover and immediate first‑line resuscitation to any hospital patient, visitor, or staff member as required, assisting in the management of patients and providing back‑up support to the consultant, and performing any other duties as assigned by Management.
