Job summary

Jurucita Consultant is seeking a Resident Engineer / Inspector of Works (IOW) to oversee site supervision and inspection of civil and structural works on a 5-month contract basis. The role focuses on monitoring workmanship, quality, safety, and progress to ensure compliance with drawings and standards.

Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency is an advantage for communicating with Chinese-speaking site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect site works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, quality, safety, and construction progress.
• Identify site issues, defects, and non-conforming works; follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project team on technical and site matters.
• Conduct inspections, witness tests, and maintain site records, reports, and photographs.
• Attend site meetings and assist with progress reporting, work verification, and project handover.

RESIDENT ENGINEER / INSPECTOR OF WORKS (IOW)

We are seeking a dedicated Resident Engineer / Inspector of Works to oversee the site supervision and inspection of civil and structural construction works. The successful candidate will monitor workmanship, construction quality, and progress to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable engineering standards. This is a 5-months contract-based position, subject to the requirements of the assigned project.
