Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a Resident Engineer (Electrical) to supervise electrical installations on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, Malaysian codes, and QA/QC standards. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• BEM registration as Graduate Engineer or Professional Engineer.
• Minimum 10 years of site supervision experience in electrical services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all electrical installation works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and relevant Malaysian codes and standards
• Provide technical support and engineering solutions to site issues, coordinating with the design team, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, method statements, shop drawings, material submissions, and technical documents to ensure accuracy
• Oversee the installation of electrical systems including HT/LV power distribution, substations, transformers, generators, lighting, earthing and lightning protection, UPS, ELV systems
• Coordinate and witness inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities to ensure systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project and regulatory requirements
• Monitor workmanship and material quality, ensuring installations meet project specifications, QA/QC, and safety standards
• Verify materials and equipment delivered to site comply with approved specifications and project requirements before installation
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, progress updates, non-conformance reports, and as-built documentation
