Job summary

The role involves leading R&D projects from concept to shelf-ready products, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring quality and compliance across the development

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Food Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in Research & Development, Formulation or related field is required for this position.
• Possess good planning, organization and analytical skills to excel in multi-tasking.
• Possess good interpersonal skills and analytical mind in problem-solving.
• Results-oriented, strong follow up and good negotiation skills.
• Pleasant personality and able to interact with all levels of people.
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and execute projects to design, develop and optimize products within timelines.
• Prepare product samples and conduct sensory evaluations and basic analyses.
• Conduct market and product research to propose new concepts for launch.
• Evaluate new raw materials, suppliers and sample approaches for quality and suitability.
• Provide technical support to other departments for process and product troubleshooting.
• Maintain proper R&D documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Perform additional tasks as required by superiors

Job description

1. Project Management & Product Development

Plan, manage, and execute projects to design, develop, and optimize new and existing products, ensuring required shelf life and sensory characteristics within designated timelines.

2. Sample Preparation & Testing

Prepare product samples based on sales or customer requests. Conduct sensory evaluations, basic laboratory analyses, and shelf life studying.

3. Market & Product Research

Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends, conduct product surveys as needed. Generate innovative ideas and propose uptrend product concepts for market launch.

4. Raw Material Assessment

Evaluate new raw materials, suppliers, and sample approaches to ensure quality and suitability.

5. Technical Support

Provide technical assistance to others department, particularly in process and product troubleshooting, trial run and commercial run.

6. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain proper R&D documentation systems to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance.

7. Ad Hoc Duties

Perform additional tasks assigned by superiors as required.
