Research Assistant (Greater China IT Hardware Coverage)

We are seeking a Research Assistant to support our Lead Analyst in covering the China IT Hardware sector.This role offers hands‑on exposure to equity research, including monitoring industry developments, data‑driven analysis, and contributing to high‑quality investment reports in a fast‑paced financial environment.

Major Responsibilities and Objectives

Assist in writing research reports, notes, and generating investment ideas.

Maintain and update financial models to support company and sector analysis.

Promptly respond to sales and client requests.

Monitor daily news flow, industry trends, supply chain dynamics, and competitive developments in the IT Hardware sector.

Candidates with sufficient experience may be given opportunities for independent stock coverage.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics / AI Technology. Minimum 2:1, GPA 3.2/4.0 (or equivalent)

Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.

Complete proficiency in written English and Chinese. Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must.

Ability to multitask under tight deadlines, strong organisational and communication skills.

Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Databases like CEIC, WIND and Bloomberg.

1-2 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking or related fields is preferred.
