Job summary

6255 UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites a senior software engineer to lead end-to-end development and production support for investment banking applications. You will analyze, design, implement, test, and support software delivered to business users.

The role requires at least 6 years in Banking/IT, strong MS SQL, .NET and React JS, plus Agile and DevOps experience; senior member guiding juniors. On-site with regional opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software development and production support for transitions.

Job Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and support for all work transitioned from Group (specialised and focus on Level 3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support and you will be expected to manage production problems and incidents reported under retail investment applications.
• You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools.
• You will partner closely with the Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
• Act as the focal point of contact for technical resolutions while managing the incident, problem and knowledge management processes for the applications in scope.
• Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues.
• Manage 3rd party product vendors and integration partners to ensure application code fix deliveries are timely and good quality.
• Design appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators.
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
• Work with business stakeholders to manage and prioritize the overall book of work in terms of problem remediation.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives relating to methods, tools, people, architecture, project management and governance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related Information Technology disciplines; Additional professional/technical qualifications will be advantageous.
• At least 6 years’ experience in relevant Banking/Investment Banking / Information Technology with functional and system knowledge on Investment and Wealth product (ie. Insurance, Funds, Bonds, Unit Trust, Structure Deposit & etc).
• Proficient in Ms SQL platform, Dot Net and React JS programming.
• Investment & Wealth / MS-SQL,.net, SQL, Open systems, Windows / Wealth Management Experience in design, development, testing, implementation , support and documentation of applications according to change requests and project requirements.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps practices.
• Senior person in the team with experience providing guidance to junior developers (Good to have with team lead experience).
