Job summary

6255 UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a senior software engineer to drive end-to-end development and production support for Group transitions. You will partner with the Group domain team to plan, deliver, and assure quality across wealth management applications, with emphasis on incident resolution and continuous improvement.

The role demands 6+ years in Banking/IT, strong MS SQL, Dot Net, and React JS, plus Agile and DevOps experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related Information Technology disciplines; Additional professional/technical qualifications will be advantageous.
• At least 6 years’ experience in Banking/Investment Banking/Information Technology.
• Proficient in MS SQL, Dot Net and React JS; experience with Investment & Wealth product domain is a plus.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps practices; senior level with capability to guide junior developers.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end software development and support for work transitioned from Group, including analysis, design, development, testing and support.
• Ensure quality assurance of team delivery in line with Bank’s software delivery methodology and tools.
• Collaborate with Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
• Act as focal point for technical resolutions and manage incidents, problems and knowledge management.
• Manage 3rd party vendors and integration partners to ensure timely, high-quality code fixes.
• Design metrics for reporting on performance and quality indicators; conduct root-cause analysis with production support.

About The Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and support for all work transitioned from Group (specialised and focus on Level 3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support and you will be expected to manage production problems and incidents reported under retail investment applications.

You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will partner closely with the Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.

• Act as the focal point of contact for technical resolutions while managing the incident, problem and knowledge management processes for the applications in scope.
• Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues.
• Manage 3rd party product vendors and integration partners to ensure application code fix deliveries are timely and good quality.
• Design appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators.
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
• Work with business stakeholders to manage and prioritize the overall book of work in terms of problem remediation.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives relating to methods, tools, people, architecture, project management and governance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related Information Technology disciplines; Additional professional/technical qualifications will be advantageous.
• At least 6 years’ experience in relevant Banking/Investment Banking / Information
• Technology with functional and system knowledge on Investment and Wealth
• product (ie. Insurance, Funds, Bonds, Unit Trust, Structure Deposit & etc).
• Proficient in Ms SQL platform, Dot Net and React JS programming.
• Investment & Wealth / MS-SQL,.net, SQL, Open systems, Windows / Wealth
• Management
• Experience in design, development, testing, implementation , support and
• documentation of applications according to change requests and project
• requirements.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps practices.
• Senior person in the team with experience providing guidance to junior developers (Good to have with team lead experience).
