Job summary

3M is seeking a Sales Specialist for the Personal Safety Division in Penang. The role focuses on penetrating PSD portfolios with end users and distributors, developing strategic sales plans, and driving market opportunities.

You will collaborate across teams to forecast, train, and represent the brand at events, while maintaining CRM accuracy. The ideal candidate has a degree in a science/engineering field, strong presentation skills, and experience in industrial safety sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above required.
• Science or Engineering major preferred.
• New grads welcome to apply.
• 5 years in industrial or safety market sales preferred.
• Experience in fall protection or project management is a plus.
• Strong key-account sales and organizational skills.
• Experience selling through multiple channels to end users.
• Knowledge of product lines, customers, and competitors.
• Excellent presentation and communication in English and Bahasa.
• Self-starter who handles change with urgency.
• Proficient in MS Office and capable of reading technical diagrams (Autocad).
• Must influence, communicate, and negotiate across levels; driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Penetrate PSD portfolio within key end users and distributors and drive opportunities.
• Contribute to strategic marketing, sales, and forecast plans to hit targets.
• Prepare and execute sales through cold calling and networking.
• Monitor competitor marketing and sales activities.
• Build relationships with industry influencers and key partners.
• Ensure consistent corporate image across materials and events.
• Conduct sales forecasting and achieve annual targets.
• Represent 3M at exhibitions, seminars, and trade shows.
• Provide PSD training and support to internal and external customers.
• Collaborate with PSD sales team to pursue leads and convert them to business.
• Maintain timely CRM reporting.
