Translation and Interpretation Services Company is seeking an Interpreter (100% work from home) based in Malaysia. The role covers Mandarin-English-Mandarin interpretation for live conversations between doctors, patients, bankers and clients, with night shifts (8 hours per shift, 40+ hours weekly).

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
• CEFR English level bilingual with other required languages.
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render meaning of conversations in consecutive mode between speakers of English and Mandarin.
• Process information quickly, recognize cultural differences, and remain professional and courteous.
• Use industry terminology and understand common procedures; calls may involve healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel, hospitality, law enforcement and general business.
