Job summary

Translation and Interpretation Services Company is seeking an interpreter who will work remotely from home in Malaysia. The role involves consecutive interpretation for doctor-patient, banking, and client conversations, primarily during night shifts that rotate monthly.

The position requires strong listening and note-taking skills, neutrality, and cultural awareness to ensure accurate communication across languages. Working hours are night-based, with a minimum of 40 hours online per week.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking to maintain accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
• Ability to explain cultural concepts when needed.
• CEFR English level bilingual with other required languages.
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for conversations with language barriers.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render meaning in consecutive interpretation.
• Use industry terminology and understand common industry procedures in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel, Hospitality, and more.
