Job summary

Translation and Interpretation Services Company is seeking an Interpreter for 100% work-from-home arrangements based in Malaysia. The role involves consecutive interpretation during live conversations between doctors and patients, bankers and clients, among others, with 100% night shifts rotating monthly.

Shifts run 8 hours per session (evening to early hours) and require strong listening, note-taking, and cultural sensitivity to ensure accurate interpretation across sectors including

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking to ensure high accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and remain neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
• CEFR English level bilingual with other required languages.
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation for individuals with language barrier to understand and communicate with each other.
• Handling telephone or video calls on demand and renders meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of English.
• Processes information quickly and concisely, recognizes sensitive cultural differences, and is always professional and courteous.
• Use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices across Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.
