Job summary

MBSB Bank Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a business-driven professional to develop and maximize SME and Commercial financing opportunities. You will promote financing products, structure deals, and build long-term relationships with clients to meet KPIs.

The role requires strategic planning, accurate credit proposal preparation, and effective cross-selling of bank products. A strong understanding of SME financing and government-funded programs is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and maximize existing business by promoting, marketing and structuring financing products to suit customer needs and cross-sell other MBSB products and services.
• Design and implement a strategic business plan to achieve departmental and individual KPIs.
• Maintain high quality of account portfolio and grow SME and Commercial portfolios.
• Prepare, evaluate and review credit proposal papers for approval by MICC, BICC, BOARD, etc.
• Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
• Carry out other duties as required by Management.
• Ensure Annual and Interim Reviews are carried out on a timely basis.
• Improve NPFI/impairments provisioning within the Commercial and SME segment.
• Promote SME and Government/BNM fund programs to increase portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business and maximizing existing business by promoting, marketing and structuring financing products that suits customer financing requirements as well as cross selling other products and/ or services available at MBSB.
• Design and implement a strategic business plan to achieve departmental and individual KPIs
• Maintain high quality of account portfolio and to increase SME and Commercial Portfolio growth.
• Prepare, evaluate and review credit proposal paper to ensure high quality standard to be presented to the respective approving authority for approval i.e. MICC, BICC, BOARD, ect.
• Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understand their needs and requirements
• Carry out other duties as reasonable required by the Management
• To ensure the Annual Review and Interim Review are carried on a timely basis.
• To improve MBSB Banks Non-Performing Financing, Impairments and provisioning within the Commercial and SME clientele segment.
• To promote SME program and Government/BNM fund program to the customers to increase the portfolio growth for SME segment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any field Years & Nature of Experience

Experience

• Minimum 3 - 10 years of experience in local/ foreign bank
• Ability to work independently on a variety of assigned projects
• Ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail
