Responsibilities

• Lead regional cash forecasting and liquidity planning across multiple countries.

• Oversee cash pooling and ZBA structures across the region.
• Supervise banking operations, KYC, signatory management, and relationships.
• Negotiate banking fees, FX spreads, and treasury-related costs.
• Deliver treasury, liquidity, and cash reporting to senior management.

Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Regional Treasury Manager. This opportunity is based in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Position Overview

The Regional Treasury Manager will oversee cash management, liquidity planning, banking operations, and treasury governance across multiple entities.

The role will drive efficient cash utilisation, manage cross-border cash flows, support banking activities, and ensure compliance with treasury policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead regional cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and cash flow optimisation across multiple countries.
• Execute and streamline intercompany funding, dividend repatriation, and cross-border cash movements while minimising FX exposure and transactional costs.
• Manage and optimise cash pooling and Zero Balance Account (ZBA) structures across the region.
• Oversee banking operations, including bank account administration, KYC requirements, signatory management, and banking relationship management.
• Negotiate banking fees, FX spreads, and treasury-related service costs.
• Deliver accurate treasury, liquidity, and cash reporting to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, local banking regulations, capital controls, transfer pricing requirements, and other regulatory obligations.
• Partner closely with Finance, Tax, Controlling, and business stakeholders to support funding requirements and strategic initiatives.

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• 7–10 years of corporate treasury experience.
• Experience managing multi-country treasury activities, intercompany funding, and cross-border transactions.

Technical / Functional Expertise

• Strong expertise in cash management, liquidity planning, banking operations, and treasury controls.
• Good knowledge of Treasury Management Systems (TMS), ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle, and electronic banking portals.
• Solid understanding of regional banking regulations, capital controls, transfer pricing considerations, and withholding tax implications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to operate independently in a regional role.
