Job summary

Talent Switch is seeking a Finance Manager with regional operations experience to lead Malaysia and Indonesia finance teams. You will oversee daily finances, ensure IFRS/MFRS compliance, and consolidate regional reports while driving budgeting and forecasting across both markets.

You will partner with operations, HR, and sales to steer profitability, manage working capital, and improve internal controls. Travel between Malaysia and Indonesia may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial/regional role.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian and Indonesian accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in cross-border financial management and consolidation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations for Malaysia and Indonesia entities.
• Prepare timely financial statements in line with IFRS/MFRS.

• Lead annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts for both markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local regulations and group reporting standards (IFRS/MFRS).
• Consolidate financial reports across both entities and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts for both markets.
• Monitor financial performance against budget, identifying risks and opportunities to management.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with Malaysian and Indonesian statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely submission of reports and filings.
• Maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks across both entities.

Cash Flow & Treasury

• Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships for both countries.
• Optimize foreign exchange exposure and cross-border fund transfers in line with group treasury policies.

Business Partnering & Leadership

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing financial guidance for business initiatives and investments.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, HR, sales) to drive profitability and cost efficiency.
• Lead and mentor local finance teams in Malaysia and Indonesia, ensuring capability building and alignment with group standards.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial/regional role.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian and Indonesian accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in cross-border financial management and consolidation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership with the ability to manage and develop multi-country teams.
• Proficient in ERP/financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to travel between Malaysia and Indonesia when required.
