Job summary

Luxasia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned Retail Operations leader to redefine our retail strategy and execution across Malaysia. You will draw on extensive experience in retail operations, people management and cross-functional collaboration to drive excellence.

You will lead store teams, develop sales strategies for department stores and events, implement SOPs, audits, and partner with Sales, Marketing, Merchandising and Training to raise performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• 8–10 years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing within the beauty and cosmetics industry.
• At least 5 years of team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience in beauty, skincare and prestige brands.
• Proficient in stock and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders through strong commercial awareness.
• Willing and able to travel within Malaysia as required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze the Malaysian market to identify business needs, opportunities and areas for innovation.
• Develop and implement mid- to long-term retail strategies to achieve business growth projections.
• Oversee overall retail operations, driving sales performance, strengthening operational excellence, and managing the leadership and development of store teams.
• Establish, implement and maintain Retail Operations SOPs, policies and procedures to ensure consistent, best-in-class store execution and an excellent consumer experience.
• Ensure successful completion of principals’ EQR and Annual Free Goods Audits across markets, including preparation, execution and continuous improvement.
• Lead market Mystery Shopping Programmes to maintain high-quality retail experiences.
• Lead new store openings, new product launches and regional retail projects, overseeing all associated requirements.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with retail partners and store management teams; optimise inventory and processes.
